Professionally licensed by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation Arthur brings depth of experience and resources to corporate renewal and turnaround management.  Mr. van der Vant is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI); the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees (NABT); the Turnaround Management Association (TMA); and the International Association of Restructuring, Insolvency & Bankruptcy Professionals (INSOL).


Mr. van der Vant has been awarded the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation by the Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute.  The CCIM designation is earned upon completion of a graduate-level curriculum and attainment of a level of qualifying experience.  CCIMs are recognized experts in commercial and investment real estate, auctions, brokerage, leasing, asset management, valuation, and consulting.  CCIMs form a business network encompassing 34 countries and many markets throughout the world.  Mr. van der Vant is among a hand full of Receivers and Auctioneers with the CCIM designation in the United States and worldwide.


Arthur has earned the prestigious Certified Auctioneers Institute Member (CAI) designation from the National Auctioneers Association Education Institute, representing three years of graduate-level curriculum given at the Indiana University relating to the auction industry.  Mr. van der Vant has been also confirmed by the National Auctioneers Association as the Accredited Auctioneer of Real Estate (AARE).


He has been a “Golden R” member of the National Association of Realtors, Political Action Committee since 2001, and he has earned many industry designations and certifications, such as: Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS); Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager (CRB); Certified Residential Specialist (CRS); Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR); Internet Proficient Realtor (ePRO); Real Estate Cyber Specialist (RESC); Professional Ringmen Institute Member (PRI); Graduate of the Realtor Institute (GRI); Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES); and, Certified Negotiations Expert (CNE).  Mr. van der Vant has authored numerous articles on real estate and is quoted regularly in many prominent newspapers throughout the country.   He is a graduate of the Illinois Association of Realtors Leadership Development Academy (2003) and the Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute - Jay W. Levine Leadership Development Academy Class of 2003.

He has been recognized as a member of the “Hall of Fame” of the National Association of Realtors, Political Action Committee (RPAC).  There are just 280 members nationwide in RPAC’s “Hall of Fame”.

Mr. van der Vant participated in the management and/or liquidation of approximately 10,000 commercial and residential properties throughout North America for courts, financial institutions, corporations, developers, syndicators, and private individuals as a Receiver, Auctioneer, Broker, Manager, or Consultant.  Mr. van der Vant completed training at The World Bank Headquarters in Washington, DC. on the subject of “Housing Finance in Emerging Markets – Policy and Regulatory Challenges” (2003), and participated in organizing a secondary mortgage market in Poland as a consultant to and a liaison between Polish Housing & Urban Development Administration and Fannie Mae (2002 – 2004).


Mr. van der Vant served as the President of the Illinois CCIM Chapter (2005); Vice President of the Illinois CCIM Chapter (2004); Treasurer of the Illinois CCIM Chapter (2003); and the Board Member and Director of the Illinois CCIM Chapter (2000 – 2008).  As well as, Chairman of the International Committee of the Chicago Association of Realtors (2003); Vice Chairman of the International Committee of the Chicago Association of Realtors (2002); and Board Member and Director of the Chicago Association of Realtors (2002 – 2004).


From 1989 to 2010 as the President and CEO of Major Enterprises, Inc. Mr. van der Vant has been responsible for company’s growth.  Under Arthur’s guidance Major Enterprises, Inc. grew from 6 to 600 agents & ranked among the top Illinois companies with the annual sales volume of approximately $1 Billion Dollars.  For six years Arthur owned and operated a Title Insurance Company. He owned and managed a Mortgage Company, and two Construction & Development Companies.
